BERNADETTE THE BRAVE is a 5-minute dramedy web series about a young woman forced by job loss from the cocoon of the rural Central Valley into the big city where a bevy of uplifting women help her learn to overcome her fears one episode at a time.

This is an all-female team from the writers to production assistants. Led by showrunner and creator Ally May and produced by Belgica Rodriguez, and Alli Serrano. The show is comparable to other web series like Amazon’s CLUB RAT, YouTube’s THE MISADVENTURES OF AWKWARD BLACK GIRL, and YouTube’s FIRST. BERNADETTE the character has the ambition of Mary Richards from MARY TYLER MOORE, the curiosity Ann Marie from THAT GIRL, and the propensity for mishap of Lucy Ricardo in I LOVE LUCY.

The project passes the Bechdel Test, with themes of body positivity, mental health, shedding emotional baggage and finding courage to step out of one’s comfort zone. The show will strive to be relatable to the fears most women face in a funny and uplifting way.
