Support BVOCSP with chicken and rabbit farm project
Bwindi vulnerable and orphan children’s support project (BVCOSP) is a non-profit and non-government children’s charity that was started in 2018 September by a group of educationists, including Nicholas Ampeire, after realizing the hardest lifestyle that the orphan, needy, disabled and other less fortunate children were passing through.
We now support about 50 children, aged 2-18 years, both boys and girls. More information can be found at https://www.bwindiorphanageuganda.org
Project Name: Chicken and Rabbit farm
Project Overview
This project will support the nutrition projects of vegetable growing to fight malnutrition among Bwindi Community and to act as sustainable projects for the orphanage.
Problem statement
Due to lack of manure to support vegetable growing and a high demand of chicken and rabbits in Bwindi area as meat, we hope to set up these projects.
Methodology
We shall rear 100 chicken and 50 rabbits to provide manure, provide meat, act as a community demonstration farm and provide income for the orphanage sustainability.
Expected Outcome
Provision of manure and Rabbit urine for vegetable growing, source of meat, act as a community demonstration farm and a source of income for sustainability.
