The end of 2020 is approaching quickly, and Roycemore needs everyone’s support to keep our kids in school next year. We want them where they are meant to be: on our safe, spacious campus, learning in person with our phenomenal faculty, and having the social interaction with their peers that they so desperately need.
Although a vaccine and a return to “normal” life are on the horizon later in 2021, the pandemic is still with us, meaning Roycemore continues to need to invest above and beyond our typical budget to keep our children safe at school and bring them back in January.
Our ongoing mitigation efforts and comprehensive, first-in Health and Safety Plan created by a committee of professionals in March, kept Roycemore students on campus this fall while most of our peers were teaching remotely. We were the leaders in continuing to provide a typical in-person education during COVID. But being in a position to do this in 2021—while keeping our students and teachers safe--requires additional funding for things both visible and unseen.
We need to raise $30,000 by the end of December 2020 to continue funding these critical and ongoing pandemic-related investments into the second semester:
$20,000 for new WiFi access points in each classroom to increase remote learning access
$5,400 to install and maintain high-density MERV-13 filters for safe air quality
$1,035 (and counting!) to provide PPE, including gloves, masks, face shields, and plexiglass guards.
$5,000 for gallons and gallons of hand sanitizer
Never-ending $ for extra paper towels, wipes, cleaning fluid, and spray bottles.
Some of you have not yet given to the Annual Fund. If you haven’t, please use this as your opportunity to give now and help fund these essential items to ensure all of our children and faculty can return safely to campus in January.
Or, if you’ve already given to the Annual Fund, please consider an additional gift to help us reach our $30,000 goal.
