HSA Gives Back is supporting the Sheboygan Community Recreation Department and the Sheboygan Optimist Club, who are partnering and hosting the 26^th Back to School Basics School supply giveaway on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Longfellow Elementary School. 

We wanted to reach out to our manufacturers, wholesalers, and partners, and give them an opportunity to join forces with HSA in this charitable endeavor. We are hoping for your assistance and financial support to provide free school supplies to children of low-income families in the Sheboygan Area School District. There is absolutely no obligation to participate. If you decide to make a donation, please note your name and company so we can give credit where credit is due! 

In addition to a monetary donation, some of our HSA employees will be attending the event and lending a helping hand in sorting and bagging the supplies being distributed. With the assistance of Murdock, we will also be providing reusable water bottles for each of the school supply bags. 

Last year over 50 volunteers pre-bagged and distributed school supplies to over 1,100 students from grades K-12. This represents more than 10% of all the students within the Sheboygan Area School District. The cost of these school supplies continues to increase and totaled more than $13,000. The purchase of this large amount of school supplies was made possible with generous donations and support from businesses and people like you. 

It costs approximately $16 to supply one child with basic school supplies including notebooks, folders, pens, pencils, crayons, markers, glue and glue sticks. A donation of $160 will serve 10 children, $800 will serve 50 children and $1,600 will serve 100 children.
