1.       Where are you from and why did you move to Charlotte?

I am originally from Bristol, TN. 10 years ago, I moved to Charlotte for college. After graduating I could not imagine starting my career anywhere else. Now I consider Charlotte home!!

2.       What’s your favorite thing about Charlotte?

My favorite thing about Charlotte is that it is a young professional city that cultivates both personal and professional growth, along with creativity. There is never a lack of things to do whether it be events, concerts, sports, new restaurants, or bars opening weekly. As a person that must always stay busy, this is why I love Charlotte.

3.       What motivates you to give back?

My family has experienced struggles in the past.

Witnessing how the help from family, friends, and the community can have a positive impact has greatly influenced me.

Even when times were hard my mom taught us that there were those with far greater struggles.

She is an educator with special needs students. Observing her work with these students I began to realize what a difference we can make in other's lives. I hope to give back to the community the way my community gave back to me in my youth.  I am also motivated to give back because of the way it brings the community together and seeing the positive impact it can make in someone’s life.

4.       Fundraising goal?

Currently my goal is 5K, as this is my first fundraiser on such a large scale. Hopefully, this goal will greatly be surpassed. Being included in this project is a great honor!
