Barbara Domingue Holiday Giving Fund

Barbara Domingue Holiday Giving Fund

Join Community Autism Resources in bringing joy to autistic individuals and their families this holiday season!

Formerly known as “Giving from the Heart at the Holidays,” this fund has been renamed in honor of our founder, Barbara Domingue, whose compassion and dedication have shaped our organization and community since 1992.

Many families face overwhelming challenges, medical issues, job loss, or multiple autistic children making the holidays especially difficult. Your donation will help us provide gift cards for food and gifts, allowing parents to choose what best suits their child’s unique needs and preferences.

We’re accepting donations through #GivingTuesday, December 2nd at midnight to ensure timely distribution. Checks can also be mailed to:

Why the name change?

Barbara Domingue founded Community Autism Resources in 1992, and her hard work and dedication have not only shaped an incredible organization but also fostered an incredible community of caring and compassion. Barbara’s kindness knows no bounds. Whether through her time, advice, or love, she consistently gives selflessly to others, and her generosity is truly inspiring. She cares deeply about this community, always ensuring that people have a place to feel safe, understood, and supported. The work she has done — and continues to do — is nothing short of extraordinary.

To honor Barbara, we wanted to find a way to reflect the heart and soul she has poured into everything she does. After much thought, we couldn't think of a better tribute than dedicating our Holiday Giving Fund in her name. This fund will serve as a lasting tribute to her generosity, the love she’s shown, and the incredible impact she has made on all of us. It’s the perfect way to carry forward the spirit of giving that Barbara has so graciously shared with everyone.
