On June 13, 2025, Iran launched a massive missile attack on Israel, sending hundreds of rockets across the country in one of the most devastating escalations of this war.

In the coastal city of Bat Yam, residential buildings took a direct hit. Families had only seconds to find shelter. Entire homes—filled with memories, photos, and belongings—were reduced to rubble. The destruction was sudden, overwhelming, and deeply traumatic.

As of today, more than 1,500 residents—500 households—have been evacuated. Some are staying in hotels. Others have found temporary shelter in school buildings or with relatives. Many are without basic necessities—food, clothing, hygiene products, medicine, or a bed to sleep in.

Why Bat Yam? Why Now?

At the La’Aretz Foundation, we are committed to standing with Israel’s most vulnerable communities—especially in moments of crisis when government aid is delayed or unavailable.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States, all donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward helping families in need.

We are launching an emergency relief campaign focused on Bat Yam, in coordination with the Bat Yam Municipality and local social workers on the ground. Our team including a trained social worker have been working closely with evacuated families to assess their needs in real-time and deliver help where it’s needed

🚨 06-29-25 Update: Our emergency response center in Tel Aviv is up and running — and we began distributing prepaid credit cards to evacuated families from Bat Yam.

These $2,500 grants are helping them purchase clothing, medicine, and basic essentials — right now, when they need it most.
