Hair Care Drive

This holiday season, Be Inclusive is spreading holiday cheer by providing hair care kits to the residents of The Home in Walpole, a residential treatment program run by The Home for Little Wanderers. The Home in Walpole provides care to 50 youth, ranging in age from 12-18, who have been impacted by trauma and require specialized care to heal. The Home does an excellent job caring for the youth in their program and Be Inclusive is hoping to send a little extra love their way with our Hair Care for the Holidays Drive! Sometimes our hair needs a little more care and attention than we can get from run-of-the-mill products, and we want to help the kids at The Home have access to products and tools that help them care for their hair and feel their best!

We are hoping to raise enough money so that we can donate a kit to each child at The Home in Walpole and deliver them in time for the holidays! Can you help us reach our goal?

Products Being Purchased

Here is how your dollars will be used:

For $60 we can provide: A satin bonnet, spray bottle, hair ties, bungee headbands, hair ties for afros, Edge control brushes, thick hair clamp assorted curlers and Shea Moisture residue remover

For $50 we can provide: Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner, a detangler brush, travel comb, satin pillow case, and a shower cap all packed in a easy to tansport travel bag

For $30 we can provide: A durag, Sportin' waves pomade, hard bristle styling brush, Jamaican Mango hair oil and gel, magic twist hair sponge, a hair pick, and a shower cap for men

For $30 we can provide:Shea Moisture kids 2-1 shampoo and conditioner, spray bottle, hair elastics, Jamaican Mango hair gel and flexible curling rods

If those bundles are out of your price range, you can help us purchase: A shampoo bowl for $18, a hooded dryer for $14, extra shower caps for $6, or a detangler brush for $7!

Be Inclusive is a Black woman-led program that creates inclusive communities by lifting the voices of underrepresented and marginalized communities, recognizing diverse cultures and intersectional experiences, and supporting healthy racial identity development and ongoing anti-racist learning through education, community events, programming, and resources.

We aim to support community members by creating a more welcoming, safe, and inclusive community. Programs include the delivery and increased visibility of diverse books in schools through the Multicultural Books Initiative as well as authentic cultural events through our Inclusive Community Events.
