Update 5/1/24 Miss Betty, now Honey Boots has FIP. Due to her many medical needs she has been sanctuaried and we are helping her meowmy with medical costs. Treatts ate $7/day for 87 days. Please help her get better, shw deserves a good life. Shes been through so much!

Ms. Betty was rescued after her daddy died and her Meowmy (with dimentia) had to go into the hospital. Her and her sister were uncared for over 2 weeks until police found this desperate situation. Her tragic story was so close to a happy ending when tooth decay was noted at her adoption meeting. Her adopter loves her and is patiently waiting for her to be medically ready for adoption. She showed zero signs of a problem . We scheduled her with the dental exam for February 25th.

Last night she started refusing food and water. We need to get her in for emergency services but need help covering her medical as tooth surgery is very expensive. Please help us get Betty in ASAP. She’s been through too much already. Thank you for any help you can lend. As we get vet bills and estimates we will update.

Update: Ms Betty is 5-6 years according to the vet. The rescuer had told us under a year due to her small size. We’ve been told there is an emergency surgical center in Hollywood so we’re headed there this am. We will update with more info as soon as it’s available. Right now we have our sweet girl on antibiotics hoping to help her reduce infection before surgery, pain meds, sub cutaneous fluids and appetite stimulant. Please help us share her story so we can get her all of the help she needs

Update 2/21/22: Hello wonderful friends and neighbors. I have great news. Kinder 4 Rescue in Hollywood did a same day surgery, labs, chest and abdomen X-ray to clear for surgery, and meds. My daughter helped accompany me on the kids day off and we drove to Hollywood at 9am. Just got home at 9pm with Ms. Betty. No stomatitis, no felv/Fiv. She apparently already lost 7 teeth and had 8 removed with recommendation to do regular cleaning on what’s left. She was so sweet one of the surgical assistants asked if she was available but we believe the potential adopter is still interested in her. I had to pull over to nap after the long day on the drive home but we finally got home and Ms. Betty is eating!!!! 🤗🤗 thank you everyone. Will update with vet info in the am. I’m exhausted. Her vet bill was $680 which is great for all done. She has a follow up for $35 Friday and gas $$ but we made it! We’ve raised $570 for the surgery and a kind foster of ours out $30 to help with gas. Hopefully she’s even better by am. 🥰 Thank you everyone for your help and support.

3/1/22 A womderful healer at Kinder for rescue fell in love with Miss Betty and is taking her home to give her a forever place. Out rescue is sanctuary caring to assist with vet bills when we can. She is loved!!! And has a home!!!
