June 2022 - Presentation to Tredyffrin Parks and Rec. Committee of a proposal to build a Bike Skills Park in Tredyffrin Township by two local students Dom and Ronan. This initial proposal was endorsed with the goal of identifying a location in the township.

Sept 2022 - Tredyffrin Environment Advisory Council and Parks and Rec. Comm. jointly agreed on the location within the Mill Rd. Park.

Nov 2022 - Dirt Sculpt engaged to present preliminary design concept and cost for the bike park. This initial scoping estimate was provided in Jan. 2023.

Jan 2023 - Presentation to Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors by Dom and Ronan, the Board endorsed the project scope and requests a feasibility study be completed.

Feb 2023 - overnight th community raised $5,645 and confirmed additional funds through the Tredyffrin Parks and Rec. Foundation to pay for the feasibility study. Which launched "phase 1" of the whole project.

Mar 2023 - Penonni hired to conduct the feasibility.

April 2023 - Work begins on PA Greenways Grant application.

May 31, 2023 - Grant Application Deadline.

Jan 2024 - The grant came back with an awarded amount of $112,824 which concluded "Phase 2"

Next steps: "phase 3" In order to start "Phase 3" we need the community support to raise $150,000 to include all of the items listed on the Penonni Feasibility Study

• Site survey, engineered stormwater management plan, erosion and sedimentation control plan, landscape plan and Township approval process: $32,500
• Contractor Selection / Mobilization: $8,000
• Clearing and grubbing of the site: $15,000
• Erosion and Sedimentation control measures including construction fencing: $8,500
• Dirtsculpt Bike Track: $94,500
• Stormwater Rain Garden: $45,000
• Spilt Rail Fencing: $14,000
• Landscaping and site stabilization: $18,000

A bike park gives people in the community new opportunities that they didn’t have before.
A bike park is an outlet for bike riders of all types, but can also be a starting place for people of all ages. The bike community is special in the way that everyone helps each other out and is encouraging to new riders.

Biking has brought me closer to some of my best friends and is a good way to release stress with school. It gives me a feeling of freedom at a young age. A bike park gives the community an opportunity to grow and connect with people with the same passion.
