About the Black Presbyterian Rural Church Summit

The Black Presbyterian Rural Church Summit is sponsored by the BC CornerStone Collaborative (formerly Black Church Rural and Small-town Ministry Initiative) of Louisville Seminary’s Black Church Studies Program. The Black Presbyterian Rural Church Summit focuses on convening rural Black Presbyterian collaborating congregations and Presbyterian organizations. The purpose of this Summit is to provide grant management support for collaborators in partnership with the BC Cornerstone Collaborative grant of Louisville Seminary.

This Black Presbyterian Rural Chruch Summit will provide support for rural and small-town congregations, Presbytery leadership and Seminary administrators by providing educational workshops and grant management strategies aligned with the four priorities of the BC Cornerstone Collaborative: Black Women in Ministry, Church Growth, Evangelism and Congregational Heritage.

All Presbyterian collaborating partnerships congregations enrolled in leadership cohorts should register and plan to attend.

Summit Schedule:

11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Gathering Reception
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Lunch and Keynote Speaker
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm: Workshops
