I am a Stockton Native. I was born and raised in Stockton and truly love my community. We have a unique and diverse culture which has created a lot of beautiful things. Most people only know about Stockton through its negative media as it was written in the newspaper as the thirds worst city to live in because of the crime and this doesn’t highlight any of the beauty Stockton offers. The violence in this city is very unfortunate and through this foundation of Torch we get to rewrite the future through offering emotional intelligence to the next generation so they can be well equipped with making a significant change in the world. From this , they will be able to understand their own emotions well as others and be able to have empathy and compassion as opposed to hate which creates violence. I am deeply passionate about this work and the impact it will have directly with my community and the world !
