Reading is the pathway to learning.
.
For the past three years, Red String has provided a grant to our charity partner, Rainier Scholars, to purchase all the books required for their 5th grade 14-month Academic Enrichment Program's (AEP) Literary course. This campaign is to raise important funds to help us cover purchase of the course's books as the AEP expands both in locations (Seattle and Tacoma) and number of students (approximately 120). Our goal is to provide funding to purchase about 1,200 books priced between $8 to $10 each. Please join us by making a contribution today.
.
Rainier Scholars, located in Seattle, WA, is a long-term college readiness program for underrepresented students of color in the Seattle and Tacoma communities. The 12-year Scholars program begins with recruiting students in 4th grade, then working with them and their families through college completion.
.
Red String is a 501c3 philanthropic nonprofit private foundation that provides grants to local charities working within under-served communities to improve educational and life outcomes for children and youth, assist families in need to reach self-sufficiency, and support home-bound elderly persons to remain safe, secure and healthy.
.
100 percent of all proceeds will go toward our 2024 grant to Rainier Scholars' AEP Literary Course. To learn more about Red String, please visit us at www.myredstring.org.
