Boston ICE Tea Party

For over 250 years, Bostonians have refused to bow down to tyranny. When King George III forced soldiers into Boston’s streets, levied unjust taxes on imported tea, and refused to hear the people’s voices, the colonial patriots took a stand. On December 16, 1773, hundreds of colonists hurled tea into Boston Harbor in protest of King George’s tyranny, in what some call the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution.

Today, a President who behaves like a king occupies the White House. He has sent ICE to harass our city and kidnap our friends, families, and neighbors. He has levied unjust tariffs, and made our tea, our coffee, and our lives more expensive. Let us rise together once more to take down tyranny! Funds will go towards ice, lighting, hand warmers, and other event fees.

This is a nonviolent action organized by Boston Indivisible and Mass50501. We expect all participants to remain non-violent and de-escalate any potential confrontations.
