Branded Brothers is a nonprofit organization serving veterans and public safety personnel experiencing mental health challenges. We connect participants with mustangs, rescue horses, and specialized dogs to promote healing, peace, and renewed purpose through hands-on training and lifelong human–animal partnerships. Participants do not simply interact with animals—they train with them, bond with them, and ultimately adopt and keep them, creating lasting support beyond the program.

Programs: K9 Programs (2 week Immersive Training) Participants are paired with a carefully selected dog and complete 2 weeks of intensive, hands-on training with professional instructors. Upon successful completion, the dog becomes the participant’s to keep.

K9 Tracks: Upland Birddog & Waterfowl Hunting Dogs ESA (Emotional Support Animals) ADA Service Dogs (Americans with Disabilities Act) Impact: Companionship, emotional stability, increased independence, and improved quality of life.

Equine Programs: 3-Day Introduction to Horsemanship Participants work with Branded Brothers clinic horses to learn foundational horsemanship skills. This program serves as both a therapeutic experience and a gateway into the academy.

6-Week Horsemanship Academy (Residential): Selected participants live on-site at the Branded Brothers ranch in a bunkhouse at no cost. Meals and program materials are provided. Participants are paired with a horse and receive comprehensive instruction, including: Tack selection and fitting Feed, forage, and equine nutrition Farrier care and hoof health Basic equine first aid Groundwork, riding skills, and daily care At completion, the partnered horse becomes the participant’s to keep, with continued opportunities for engagement and support.

Impact: Reduced stress and anxiety, increased confidence, responsibility, and renewed purpose.
