Hey there!

I am extremely honored to join a research team traveling to Uganda this June. Along with my professor, Dr. Danielle Walker, her husband Joey, and several other Biola University students entering the field of Public Health, we will be working in communities through the organization Meeting TENTS. Meeting TENTS is a global health, non-profit organization that exists to improve community health outcomes through international collaborations. TENTS stands for ‘The Everyday Needs To Survive’ and this could not be more essential for communities in Uganda. During this trip the team will bring supplies, as well as focus on assessments that have been conducted to see how best to serve those everyday needs of the community. This will be accomplished through partnerships with local leaders, government health officials, health clinics, and other universities respectively. Such partnerships will ensure that the work we do there will continue and allow communities to thrive because of it.

My hope is that I will be able to make an impact for the people there and allow them to do the same for my life, which will forever be changed by this experience. Your donations to make this possible is invaluable to me and no matter how big or small, I am so thankful. This will be a great opportunity for my graduate studies and to grow in my field by immersing myself into the culture. Helping others has always been my dream and this is just the beginning.
