The El Paso Community Cat Program started by the City of El Paso ended the incarceration and euthanasia of the city's cats. However, many people believe these cat colonies are nuisances. We need to remember these cats are, technically, domesticated animals that have been abandoned by the human population.

These are loving animals left to fend for themselves and face adversity in an urban wilderness every day.

NEVER HOMELESS PET CARE AND RESCUE supports the TNR (Trap Neuter Release) programs run by the Humane Society and El Paso Animal Services by trapping cats for sterilization and release, to help control the overall cat population. When appointments are not available, NHPCR sterilizes cats with Vets in Juarez, Mexico, as the cost is significantly less.

NHPCR does not only support the cat community through TNR. NHPCR, unlike most organizations, also provides care and feeding to cat communities. NHPCR rescue efforts involve providing vaccinations and medications to the most vulnerable cats and kittens in the cat colonies. Kittens and injured adult cats are kept at our home, as they are easily acclimated to living with humans. NHPCR is currently caring for more than 40 kittens and cats being in our home. They are awaiting a new home of their very own.

100% of your donations go to care, feeding and TNR activities. Everyone involved with NHPCR is a volunteer.

We are currently trying to raise additional funds to purchase at least 10 traps, so we can obtain standing appointments with the Humane Society of El Paso and sterilize more cats. We see new kittens every day, and many of them suffer from malnutrition and infections.
