The Breast Cancer Battle is Research AND Keeping Women Alive
Every day in America, more than 5,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer. Billions of dollars are given for research year after year. We noticed that newly diagnosed and Stage 4 women are struggling to afford their treatments.
As they prepare for the fight of their lives against breast cancer, thousands of Americans are confronted with the reality of an unplanned, catastrophic financial burden. In 2022, the average cost per patient ranged from $20,000 to $250,000, depending on the severity of the diagnosis. Insurance coverages vary, and out-of-pocket costs have forced women to choose between their treatment and paying for food, housing, utilities, transportation, insurance premiums, co-pays, and more. At Provision Project, we know that when a woman chooses to care for her family over her treatment, the consequences can be catastrophic. Your gift makes an immediate impact in the life of a woman.
That is why we say, help women live while the world seeks a cure. Thank you for your compassionate, giving heart. Thank you for joining us in this labor of love.
The Provision Project provides for the most basic of necessities when women are facing breast cancer. That’s it. Every human being deserves to have food, clothing, and shelter. But the breast cancer fighter also needs deductible payments, co-pays, prescriptions, gas to get to treatment, and other basic needs. Often, there just isn’t enough money to cover all those “basics.” No woman, going through breast cancer treatments, should have to decide, "Do I pay for groceries, or pay for a treatment?
