Tajikistan is one of the neighboring countries of Afghanistan and has already received more than 10,000 Afghan refugees since the Taliban takeover, with many more to come. Many of the Afghans living close to the Tajik border belong to the Tajik minority as well. Tajikistan itself is a poor country and not ready to accommodate a large influx of refugees.

We will work with reliable partners in Tajikistan to bring help directly to people in need. We will go there with teams of volunteers to see what is urgently needed and then coordinate with local partners to meet those needs. We have plenty experience with refugee aid projects in Greece where we work at the moment.

We want to provide food, clothes, housing, and other basic living needs for the most vulnerable in a flexible, fast, and direct way. We aim to help create safe spaces there for women and children.
