Hi! This is Mason. Mason is 2 years old and has already experienced a great deal of medical problems and hospital stays. He was diagnosed with Down Syndrome a week before his birth when his heart defect was discovered. Mason has a g tube and undergoes speech therapy weekly to learn how to accept drink/food by mouth. He went through open heart surgery at 3 months old. He was diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension and was on oxygen for a year and half. Mason is now oxygen free and considered moderate pulmonary hypertension. The first year of his life was spent mostly in the hospital and has caused a delayed in his abilities. Mason is currently working hard with therapist to stand and walk. He is still non verbal but grows everyday. Please consider supporting him and his friends.
