Hey everyone! I'm McKenzie Jones, Camp Able's Advisory Board Secretary and a summer camp counselor. Camp Able is incredibly important to me because of my brother, Parker, who is on the spectrum. Growing up, my parents sent us to the same summer camps, where I watched him be excluded and made fun of by other campers. Although we didn't find Camp Able until years later, we discovered other similar camps that gave Parker—and campers with similar experiences—a safe place to thrive. From the moment I started as a counselor in 2023, I knew I wanted to be as involved as possible! This camp has truly changed my life, and there is no other place filled with as much love. Now, my mission is to make Camp Able a place for everyone and to uplift our organization as much as I possibly can. If possible, please donate or SHARE to help us raise funds for this year’s camp!
