Who is Moose?
Moose is an energetic and loving 14-month-old Basset Hound/Poodle mix from Clinton County, New York. With his floppy ears and boundless enthusiasm, Moose has brought endless smiles to his family and friends. He’s more than just a pet—he’s their loyal companion and a cherished member of the family.

Recently, Moose was diagnosed with a serious orthopedic issue requiring a corrective surgery on his left leg. Without this procedure, Moose will face chronic pain and limited mobility, preventing him from enjoying the playful life he deserves.

Why We’re Fundraising
Moose needs a Left Angular Limb Corrective Osteotomy and UAP Screw Removal, a specialized procedure necessary for his recovery. The total cost for Moose’s surgery and post-operative care is estimated to be between $7,965 and $8,751. His family has already raised $1,300 from their own savings, along with contributions from friends and family, but they cannot manage the remaining expenses alone. Without your support, Moose’s condition will only worsen, leaving him unable to run and play as he should.

Moose has brought so much happiness to everyone who knows him, and now he needs your help. Your kindness can give Moose the chance to live a healthy and active life again.

How Your Donation Helps
Every dollar makes a difference! Here’s what your contributions will help support:

Anesthesia: Planning, induction, monitoring, infusion, and premedication.
Intravenous catheter placement.
Diagnostic tests: CRI-Infusion, Heska CompPlus Panel, and radiographs.
Surgery: Orthopedic instruments, suture setup, implants, and surgical supplies.
Post-operative care: Nursing, pain management, splint placement, and evaluations.

All funds will be sent directly to a licensed service provider by Northern Adirondack Pet Fund Inc, ensuring transparency and proper use. Donations are processed securely. You can also choose to cover transaction fees to maximize the impact of your gift.

If we exceed our goal, or if the full amount is no longer needed for Moose's care, donations will be reallocated to help other pets in need across Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties of New York State. Please note that all donations are nonrefundable.
