Growing Hope, Fighting Hunger

Right here in South Florida, 1 in 4 children in Palm Beach County faces hunger each year. Too many families struggle to access fresh, healthy food. At the same time, students in our community lack opportunities to engage in hands-on STEM and environmental education that connects them with real-world solutions.

At Marine Education Initiative (MEI), we are tackling both challenges head-on through our Aquaponics Food Security & Education Programs.

• 🍅 Food Security: We’ve already donated over 250,000 fresh, healthy meals to food-insecure families. With your support, we can expand production and triple the number of meals we provide.

• 📚 Education: More than 30,000 local students have experienced hands-on STEM learning at our Aquaponics Center, sparking their interest in science, sustainability, and conservation.

• 🌱 The Future: We are expanding to a new 4-acre site in West Boca Raton that will dramatically increase food production for local food banks and provide thousands more students with life-changing educational experiences.
