Get your hockey player training at the Cape Ice Rink this winter!

The Espinal Family Youth Hockey Program is generously sponsored in loving memory of Andrea Espinal in an effort to keep our community healthy and happy all winter long.

This co-ed program allows friends of all ability levels to play hockey on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons throughout the winter.

On Tuesdays & Thursdays, Kent Hulst will lead skills & drills sessions. Kent is a former AHL Pirate player (1993-2000) and has experience coaching both boys & girls hockey schools as well as Juniors programs. Kent currently lives in Scarborough.
On Wednesdays, Cape parent volunteers will oversee a fun hour of pond hockey or full pads scrimmage for participants -- stay tuned for additional communications on Wednesday schedules.

Full hockey gear and sticks are required, including Neck Laceration Protector mandated by USA Hockey. Players are expected to have completed Hockey Learn to Play before enrolling in this program. (Hockey Learn to Play will be held Monday afternoons starting December 16th with registration available via Cape Community Services).

Dates: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Dec 11th - February 27, excluding school vacation weeks*

Times:

Grades 1-4: 4 PM - 5 PM through Feb 13th, 5:30 - 6:30 PM week of Feb 24th
Grades 5-8: 3 PM - 4 PM through Feb 13th, 5:30 - 6:30 PM week of Feb 24th

Cost: $250 + transaction fees per player, including Beauty Unis reversible practice jersey**

All players must complete our online waiver and both players & parents will be asked by coaches to sign our Code of Conduct.

* Schedule is subject to adjustments; cancellations due to weather are expected due to the nature of Cape Ice Rink being an outdoor rink. Sessions will not be rescheduled - weather-related cancellations are accounted for in the cost of this program.

** For registrations on or before October 31st, BeautyUnis reversible practice jerseys are expected in mid-December; for registrations after October 31st, jerseys delivery schedule is TBD.

Due to system limitations, please complete the registration form once per player - selecting ONE ticket for the appropriate age group each time.
