Help us make a difference in our community! 💛✨

When: August 2^nd, 2025
Where: Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds

Purpose: The purpose of this project is to enhance the relationship between the citizens in our community and the Law Enforcement agencies who serve them. We wish to provide many of the school supplies that are needed by the families within our county. We also want to give our students an opportunity to meet with the School Resource Officers who work in their schools.

Why get involved?: This project is an opportunity for the community to invest in the youth who will be our future leaders and provide them with the supplies they need to succeed in the upcoming school year. This will be our fourth year of providing school supplies to children in our county. Last year, we handed out 600 bags of supplies as well as other miscellaneous items. Community support has been instrumental in making this initiative a success. Please join us in making this year’s Backpack Giveaway even more successful. Your partnership with the Sheriff’s Office will show the families of Catawba County that you or your business supports their children’s success and growth. Thank you for your consideration.

All company sponsors will have their logo included on a flyer that will be in the bags of school supplies that are distributed to the families. 

*Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.
**Tax ID number will be provided for tax write-off purposes.

All applications/monies should be received by the Sheriff’s Office/FOP no later than July 18^th, 2025 due to potential deadlines. Email Lt. Page for an electronic copy of our company application. 

If you would rather mail in a check, please make the check payable to: Catawba County FOP Lodge #26 and include a note on the memo line referencing that your donation will benefit the Back to School Backpack Giveaway. (ex. Back 2 School)
