Community Collective Fund
Everyone deserves to be fed, safe & feel connected to the land where they are living. In response to violence toward our transgender and immigrant neighbors, and increased need for direct assistance in the communities we serve Heart & Soil Collective, is launching the Community Collective Fund- a collaborative effort to make sure the basic needs of the most vulnerable across Berkshire County are being met.
Our mission of connecting people to the land where their food grows has many branches and winding roots. We purchase produce directly from local farms and deliver directly to homes, build community gardens, host farm tours and hands-on workshops. Even with our efforts to make agricultural experiences accessible to all, there are many homes and individuals across the Berkshires who face hurdles that prevent them from accessing what we have to offer.
The Community Collective Fund is designed to provide direct mutual aid to neighbors in need of immediate support. Some examples of aid requests are:
-home delivery of free produce shares purchased from local farms
-stipends for translation of recipes and produce guide books
-planting of culturally significant veggies & herbs
-creation of home balcony gardens
-stipends for Chefs and volunteers who cook with locally grown food
-seed saving projects
-purchase of ingredients from local farms for cooking classes and demonstrations
Together, we can keep each other fed. Join in and make a BIG impact in your community today!
