Community Care Tucson is expanding, including the addition of an ongoing first aid station run by our very own Nurse Maya! We need to raise $1,750 in order to keep this station running without gaps in service for at least the next six months.

We're a community-powered, community-funded mutual aid collective serving between 100 and 150 people, unhoused and housed, in our weekly distribution of food and supplies in Downtown Tucson. One of the biggest needs we see is for first aid, wound care, and other basic medical care, and we've always provided as much as we could.

As we've grown, we've added new members with professional health care and first aid training who are working to set up a consistent first aid station that can respond to cuts, bites, burns, lesions, sprains, foot ulcers, and other conditions that unhoused folks often experience and struggle to get treated. These wounds become more common and more prone to infection and complications as the hot summer months approach.
