Community Intervention Services (CIS) works with everyday residents to increase individual self-sufficiency and impact the material conditions of Black and Brown people in South Los Angeles.

CIS believes in community-based safety initiatives, programs, and interventions that prioritize Black and Brown people and ensures equitable access to programs that empower individuals and families, provide resources, and navigate residents to opportunities that will help them thrive.

Community Intervention Services Reentry Program believes in second chances, wraparound services, which include, but are not limited to: employment counseling, vocational training, mental health referrals, and access to immediate service interventions to assist individuals transitioning after long-term incarceration.

Your support is crucial to our efforts to improve the world around us by implementing re-entry services (employment development, vocational training referrals, etc.), providing basic necessities to residents and unhoused individuals (hygiene kits, household essentials), and engaging community members during grab and go events.
