We are excited to organize a Charlotte-based motorcycle rally and caravan (cars) to Burnsville, North Carolina to support local businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene on June 21, 2025.

Meeting Point: Westside Charlotte Parking Lot (behind Pinky's) 1600 W Morehead St, Charlotte, North Carolina 28208 {Please arrive in the vehicle you intend to ride in as we do not recommend leaving your vehicle in the lot for the day}
Destination: Burnsville, NC (225 W Main Street Parking)

Why Join Us? Hurricane Helene has left a significant mark on Western North Carolina, as many residents and local businesses are still struggling to recover especially with the lack of tourism that typically would have occurred over the last several months. By participating in this ride, we can show our support and contribute to the revitalization of the community. This event is open to peers, families and friends of the Charlotte IT community.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 in advance to present Rebuilding Hollers Foundation with funds to support local communities impacted by Hurricane Helene while providing business and foot traffic to areas that are impacted by lack of tourism post-Helene.

Receipts for expenses and taxes are available upon donation.

How are the roads? After speaking with the Yancey County DOT, roads are being paved as of May 7th. Beware of signage and wear protective gear!

Parking is limited at 225 W. Main; alternative options along Main Street, by the Courthouse and many restaurants also have parking.

When will we present the donation to Rebuilding Hollers? Upon arrival between 12-12:30 at Homeplace Beer Company

What time will the caravan arrive for locals to meet us and where? 12-12:30 in Downtown Burnsville at Homeplace Beer Company

Can children come? Yes

Who is paying for lunch? Lunch on your own accord

Are motorcycles required? No. Consolidated vehicles are recommended for those in cars, though!

Are there opportunities to volunteer with Rebuilding Hollers? Yes, but they are off on Saturdays. If interested, we can put you in touch.
