At the Coalition for a Multilingual RI, we believe Rhode Island should be a place where every language is valued and celebrated. Our mission is to support the expansion of multilingualism through advocacy and opportunities, striving to make Rhode Island a truly multilingual state.

We are working hard towards that vision. We advocate for public schools to offer real opportunities for our students to become fully bilingual and proud of their cultural roots. We work towards clear, accessible pathways for multilingual Rhode Islanders to become bilingual, dual language, and world language educators. And we support multilingual education policies so that every student– no matter their background– can learn, grow, and thrive in an environment that honors their identity and opens doors to a multilingual future.
