For 45 years, Stonewall Columbus has been a beacon of visibility, connection, and pride for Central Ohio’s LGBTQ+ community. What began in 1981 as a response to hate has grown into one of the most vital LGBTQ+ community centers in the Midwest.

This year, we celebrate "The Rainbow Rewind"—a journey through the decades that shaped us: the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020s. From paper bags worn in fear at our first Pride March to rainbow flags waving in front of 700,000 people today, our story is one of resilience, resistance, and radical love.

To honor our 45th year of service, we're setting a bold goal: raise $10,000 in support of our annual Come Out for Stonewall celebration and the ongoing work of our center. Your gift helps sustain the programs, services, and affirming space we’ve built together and ensures we continue thriving for the next 45 years!

In a historic moment, we are also receiving an official Ohio Historical Marker, making us just the fourth LGBTQ+ related one in the state. This marker doesn’t just recognize our past, it anchors our future.
