Story

We create opportunities for participants to give back to their supportive communities by volunteering. We conduct personal responsibility classes and job readiness training that foster positive growth. We facilitate a peer mentoring program that allows individuals who have progressed through our initiatives to lead by example.

The L.I.N.K.S. (Leadership, Independence, Neighborly, Knowledge and Skills) Initiative is a transitional training day program for young adults with disabilities ages 18-35 that is designed to build vocational skills, increase social skills, and enhance character. It is designed to:

  • To provide opportunities that connect individuals with disabilities to their vision of flourishing in the community
  • To design events that connect individuals with disabilities to opportunities that optimize their personal, social, civil, and vocational abilities
  • To create activities that will strengthen the skills and confidence of individuals with disabilities and foster relationships that provide opportunities
  • To increase access to prospects and provide training that will enable individuals with disabilities to connect to a more independent life
  • To promote collaboration with business partners and community stakeholders for effective implementation
  • To help focus and streamline transition IEP development

Our Vision:

  • To establish a community that sees individuals with behavioral health challenges as valuable members of society
  • To provide a safe environment for individuals that fosters positive personal GROWTH
  • To cultivate skill development for individuals as they progress through various phases of life
