Point in Time (PIT) Count

The Point in Time (PIT) Count is an annual nationwide count of all individuals experiencing homelessness on a single day of the year. The count is a community-wide volunteer effort coordinated by CSC for Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.

Oregon’s housing crisis impacts all of us. More of our neighbors are experiencing homelessness than ever before. The PIT Count helps service providers and local governments understand what is going on in the community. The count has a direct impact on funding for local services, and donating has a direct impact on the count by helping to provide supplies, gift cards, and hot meals for participants.
