Since March of this year alone, Marsha has participated in over 190 programs at our clubhouses—spending over 180 hours in support groups, wellness classes, educational workshops, community dinners, a cancer survivor retreat, and every program she could attend. She has received free wigs and head coverings, as well as free freezer meals, easing the burden of daily life so she could focus entirely on healing. Through it all, Marsha has rebuilt her strength, found understanding, and connected with people who truly understand her journey.
Marsha is just one person in our community. Odds are your neighbor, a loved one, or a colleague has walked this path—or is navigating it alongside someone they love. Every day, people come through our doors seeking comfort, understanding, and hope. And while our programs are free to participants, they are not free to host.
Community support has n ever been more vital. Iowa continues to have the second-highest and fastest-growing cancer incidence rate in the nation. Behind every statistic is a real person—a friend, a parent, a spouse—navigating one of life’s toughest journeys.
Because of donors like you, this year we’ve been able to:
Please consider making a gift today to keep these life-changing programs free and available for everyone in our community.
