Isabella Needs Your Help to Survive

Isabella’s story began with hope. She and her brothers, Oliver and Max, were rescued at just three weeks old—tiny, fragile, and afraid of human touch. With love and patience, their foster mom and her young daughter worked to earn their trust. Slowly but surely, the kittens blossomed.

Among the trio, Isabella was the smallest, but her heart was the biggest. She formed a beautiful bond with the toddler in her foster home. They were inseparable—whether playing, napping, or cuddling, Isabella was always by her side. The toddler adored her tiny best friend.

When Isabella was matched with a loving adopter, everyone celebrated. Her foster family couldn’t imagine a better home for her. Her spay was delayed until she reached the right weight, but when the big day came, it felt like the last step on her journey to happiness. Sadly, that joy was short-lived.

The day after her surgery, Isabella began making a faint raspy sound. Her foster mom thought it might be irritation from the procedure—a common side effect. But by the next day, the sound grew louder. Isabella still seemed fine—eating, playing, and snuggling—but something didn’t feel right. Her foster mom decided to call the vet in the morning.

That morning brought devastation. The toddler went to Isabella’s room, eager to see her best friend, but instead, she screamed for help. Isabella was found lying on her side, mouth open, foaming at the mouth, and barely clinging to life. Her foster family rushed her to the vet, praying they weren’t too late.

Isabella’s condition was critical. Her temperature was so low it didn’t register, and she couldn’t breathe on her own. Her lungs were filled with fluid, and she was diagnosed with walking pneumonia—likely worsened by the stress of her spay surgery. She was placed in an oxygen chamber immediately.

For days now, Isabella has been fighting for her life. She remains in critical care, unable to breathe on her own, but she’s showing small signs of improvement. Her veterinary team is doing everything possible to save her, but she needs time—and a miracle.

The toddler in her foster home is heartbroken, anxiously waiting for her best friend to get better. Isabella’s adopter is equally devastated, checking in daily and hoping for good news. Everyone who has met this sweet, loving kitten is rooting for her to pull through.
