End of Year Ask / Be a Bud

The Central Wisconsin Children's Museum is wrapping up 2025 with a call to action: We are seeking support from our community through an end-of-year campaign. All proceeds go toward the maintenance and updates to our museum as well as the family-learning exhibits and programming. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3), contributions are tax-deductible! 

Whether you are providing a Museum Gift or Being a Bud and donating a membership to a community member, any support makes a big deal to our little museum.

While 2024 was focused on careful budgeting, 2025 has been full of updates: 

• Joined the Association of Children’s Museums reciprocity network
• Created and filled new Community Outreach Coordinator role
• Partnered with the Wisconsin Children’s Museum Alliance to gather regional information to elevate children’s museums as key contributors to WI family tourism
• Welcomed Interim Executive Director as Executive Director
• Refresh of beloved Pet Vet exhibit with contributions from local area Veterinarian clinics
• Installed our giant Lite Brite funded by a Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin grant
• Obtained funding to update our Community Cove Kids’ Cafe for 2026
• Continued partnerships with community volunteers to bring in improvements to CWCM
  • UWSP Labor of Love
  • CLASP Teddy Bear Clinics
  • Aspiring Educators and NSSLHA members 
  • Dimensions Living of Stevens Point 
  • Cap Services and Midstate Independent Living Choices events
  • Over 600 hours of volunteering from the start of 2025! 
• Continue to offer reduced admission to approximately 10% of our visitors through the Museums for All initiative and EveryFund Program - enabling families of all different socioeconomic backgrounds to enjoy our Museum  

As we close out 2025,  we invite you to invest in our organization by making a financial contribution.  This could be in the form of renewing a lapsed membership, gifting a membership to a family who you think would enjoy it, or making an outright gift to support our operations and updates. No matter how you choose to give, you play a vital role in helping us fulfill our mission of engaging children and families by providing a space where learning and play come together.
