Giving Tuesday 2025

Right now, the future of our students is uncertain. They are struggling academically, and many present with mental health challenges; they come from families with few resources.  Yet, they all have dreams for a positive future and limitless potential.  Community Youth Advance was founded in 2005 to harness the power of community, during out-of-school time, to Teach, Reach and Keep youth on the path to success. Since our founding, we have supported more than 5,000 under-resourced students to improve their academic performance, develop valuable social skills, and build community connections that will serve them throughout their lives. However, many in our community remain without access to high-quality academic and social support during out-of-school time.

This is not just an issue for our community. A recent report from the National Assessment on Educational Progress showed that students have yet to return to pre-pandemic academic achievement levels, and that low-performing students are falling even further behind.

The support of individuals and organizations is one of the reasons Community Youth Advance continues.  Your commitment and passion enable us to serve more students and provide expanded college and career readiness and service learning activities, integrated with social-emotional learning and mentoring. We will continue to support and navigate the many challenges they face in overcoming educational inequities.
