Help Transform the TK Classroom for CalCreative's Youngest Learners!

We are raising $5,000 to complete the renovation of the TK classroom at California Creative Learning Academy. Until now, the room had never been used for children this young—it began as a big, blank windowless rectangle. With your support, we can turn it into an imaginative, nature-inspired space where four-year-olds can thrive, now and long into the future. If we can reach our goal, we'll be able to fill it with developmentally appropriate materials that spark curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.

Thanks to the incredible dedication of parent volunteers, this transformation is already well underway. Skilled hands have built a custom double sink just the right size for preschoolers, designed a roof structure for a cabin-like calm corner to help children self-regulate, and even turned a plain column into a tree that brings the outdoors inside. Before the school year began, the space lacked child-height shelving, so generous parents have added some to improve the flow of the classroom and set children up for success.

But we still have a long way to go. Your contribution will help us:

Cover outstanding construction and plumbing costs
Finish outfitting the classroom so it is welcoming, organized, and child-centered, including a block center where children experiment with building and problem-solving, a dramatic play kitchen and market that encourages collaboration and storytelling, and a cozy library nook that fosters a love of books and language
Purchase additional high-quality materials designed specifically for early childhood development

Families have donated countless hours designing the space, sourcing gently used items, and pitching in wherever needed. Because of the time, skills, and creativity our community has already so generously provided, we’re able to bring this vision to life with a much smaller budget than it would normally require.
