Caliber Classic — A-Tier Disc Golf Championship

The Caliber Classic is a PDGA A-Tier tournament bringing top amateur and professional disc golfers to compete in one of the premier events in the region.

A-Tier tournaments represent some of the highest levels of competitive disc golf outside of national tours, attracting elite players and creating unforgettable experiences for competitors and spectators alike.

This event is organized by an independent Tournament Director and is fundraising under the charitable umbrella of Idaho Disc Golf Alliance (IDGA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the growth and sustainability of disc golf.

IDGA provides the nonprofit framework that allows donations and sponsorships to be received, documented, and managed with transparency and financial oversight.

Funds raised help strengthen the tournament experience for players and the community by supporting:

• added cash for professional divisions

• course preparation and event infrastructure

• player amenities and tournament logistics

Administrative Structure

This event operates under IDGA’s Tournament Director Service Program.

Under this structure:

• 10% of funds raised support nonprofit administration and compliance

• Remaining funds support the competitive initiative associated with this event

This model allows tournaments to fundraise transparently while benefiting from nonprofit financial oversight and donation receipting.

If More Funds Are Raised Than Needed

If fundraising exceeds the costs associated with the Caliber Classic, the remaining funds will remain within IDGA’s Competition & Events Fund and may support future charitable initiatives such as:

• competitive tournaments

• course improvements for tournament play

• event infrastructure

• community competitions

This ensures that every dollar raised continues strengthening competitive disc golf opportunities.
