During a recent distribution at an unhoused encampment, we were asked specifically for Black hair care items. This opened us to the idea of nourishing bodies through hair and body care body products in addition to the food we regularly distribute. In addition to this, we bundled this with the idea of nourishing the mind with Black radical reads because there can never be enough of that in the world.

Beginning in June 2021, we will be partnering with Libereaders and DC Fridge Collective to stock 2 community pantries in predominantly Black neighborhoods with roughly 100 books and 100 beauty products per month! We need your support to show some community love.
