Story
Dear supporters,
We are excited to share with you the story of "'Heroes of Carentan," a film that aims to bring to life the heroic efforts of the 101st Airborne Division during World War II. This group of soldiers found themselves facing a daunting mission far beyond the beaches of Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. They were tasked with liberating the town and repelling the German counteroffensive west of Carentan.
This battle was a turning point in the war, and the bravery and sacrifice of these soldiers cannot be overstated. The story of their heroism deserves to be told, and that is why we are asking for your help in bringing this film to fruition.
We have assembled a talented team of writers, directors, historians and actors who are passionate about telling this story with the respect and attention it deserves. Additionally, we now have received support from the Department of Defense and the 101st Airborne Division (AA) and have been presented with a rare opportunity for a small independent film company - to interview currently serving soldiers May 22-25, 2023 at Ft. Campbell. These soldiers are currently serving in the same roles as the characters in our film were serving in during the battle of Carentan.
A 3 day shoot of this scale requires a significant amount of resources, including travel, lodging, food for a 7 person crew, equipment, and production insurance.
That is why we are asking for your support. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us bring this important story to life. With your help, we can create a film that not only entertains but also educates and honors the brave soldiers who fought for our freedom.
Thank you for your consideration, and we hope you will join us in supporting "'Heroes of Carentan."
