Eva's Casita is lovingly named after our founding board president, Eva Fajardo.

Our peer respite is a non carceral space to take rest at no-cost. For 1-7 nights this is a cozy, self-driven, nonclinical stay away from life’s hardship.

We’re so excited to be bringing what has been proven effective in other states to our area, providing a life saving alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. Eva’s Casita is unique to peer respites nationally in that, while welcoming anyone 18+, our BIPOC and LGBTQ+ led respite focuses on supporting forcefully marginalized communities.

During this time guests can build a support system, meet 1:1 with a peer specialist, find mental health resources, explore diverse wellness activities, build hobbies and more. They will get to choose between staying in our Mush Room, Tree Room, or Sky Room! Each room was lovingly painted by our community. Over 200 strangers that care about those coming in were a part of pouring love into this space.

We have funding for operation but its all cost reimbursement funding - we need enough money to pay a month of expenses to then be reimbursed each month. Helping us be able to secure this allows us too long term be able to support this life saving care work.

It takes a community to heal a community - we need your support! Every dollar helps.

✨ $15,0000 allows us to make needed renovations to make our space as accesible as possible.

✨ $250 covers cost associated with giving a community member one free nights stay.

✨ $150 covers faciliator compensation for one peer led support group.

✨ $50 covers a community member being able to receive one free 1:1 peer support session.

✨ $25 gets the respite a house warming present like art materials, books, or board games!
