Morris Catholic High School is a coeducational college preparatory school, founded in 1957 by Bishop McNulty in the Diocese of Paterson. We enroll approximately 450 students, grades 9 through 12. The community is diverse and seeks to nurture the growth of each student. Our culture reflects the belief that every student has infinite value, every student matters. Our community offers excellent academics and seeks to meet the needs of all students. We offer 19 AP courses, a science and humanities academy, and tiered support services for different learners. Participation in co-curriculars is essential to the Morris Catholic experience. We offer twenty-one varsity sports, an award winning theatre program, a full palette of choices in the arts, a strong retreat and service program, and an array of activities such as robotics, model UN, and forensics. Students also learn to lead by participating in the house system and Student Council, as well as through their other activities. Our young men and women thrive in this environment and go on to be highly sought-after alumni who continue to have a significant impact on our world, all for the glory of God.
Morris Catholic exists to strengthen young men and women intellectually and spiritually so they can develop character, respect for community and lifelong commitment through the love of Christ.
How is the Morris Catholic Mission Different From Other Schools?
We are asked this question often since there are so many options for high school in northern New Jersey. In short, the Morris Catholic mission is about identifying, attracting and training student leaders. Upon enrollment, we then equip them with the tools of leadership:
Leading others closer to God
Serving those most in need
Leading group activities
Time management and productivity
