Story
THE WORLD OF HOPE BANQUET IS OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT TO BUILD ON THE UNFOLDING VISION OF A MISSIONARY CARE CENTER. OUR ULTIMATE GOAL IS TO HAVE A CENTRALIZE PLACE FOR TRANSITIONAL MISSIONARY HOUSING FOR FAMILIES RECEIVING OUR SERVICES, MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH RESIDENTIAL HOMES FOR MISSIONARY KIDS, A TRAINING CENTER AND COUNSELING OFFICES. STRATEGICALLY THE BUILDING BLOCK TO THIS VISION IS TO HAVE IN PLACE QUALIFIED AND EXCELLENT CAREGIVERS. THESE NEXT THREE YEARS WE ARE INCREASING OUR COUNSELING, COACHING AND DEBRIEFING TEAMS TO INCREASE OUR SERVICE CAPACITY.
"Words cannot describe how thankful I am for Compass Ministries. It has been such an indescribable gift being able to process through the grief and loss I experienced as an MK with someone who has the compassion and resources to help. I now serve MKs full-time here in Europe, so not only is this healing process important for my own life, but it will have a ripple effect on the MKs I serve all across this region of the world."

"Our family was introduced to Compass Ministries while on a short visit home from the mission field. Our visit followed one of the most difficult seasons we had yet faced as missionaries. Someone in our home church's leadership suggested that we reach out to Cindy. We were told they equip missionary children for the unique challenges of being raised on a foreign mission field. This was welcomed, mainly because our children were unshielded from some of the year's tragedies prior. As young parents, we were interested in getting some "outside" advice with our children's emotional needs anyway. That was the extent of what we were hoping to receive. We were clueless as to what God was busy orchestrating. Then the world shut down.
As a couple, with our calendars halted, we began reflecting on our lives in a way that we never had until then. For the next several months, we talked to each other more than we ever had, about things we never had. God used the time and His Word to bring so much healing and understanding to our lives, our marriage, and to our children. He also had perfectly positioned our play therapy appointments with Cindy to allow her to speak into our lives, RIGHT where we needed it.
Their ministry to us became weaved into the broader story of God's healing of our family in areas we were unaware of any need. They have a unique calling to fill a scarcely met need of missionaries - emotional and psychological support.
We have since felt a strong leading to help support the continuing work they do. We now know firsthand how valuable and impactful their service to us has been and take great delight in knowing God is continuing to do the same for other missionaries. We are wholeheartedly thankful to the Lord for having placed us within reach of Compass Ministries. "

"I just wanted to express my heartfelt gratitude for the help you provided me with when I so needed it. After my burn out, when I felt so low that I couldn’t even consider continuing in ministry, you came alongside and, week after week, you helped restore my joy in ministry. You even provided the expresso during the sessions!
One of the tools you equipped me with and it is still helping me today was learning how to say no without feeling guilty or offending someone.
You helped me and my wife have a more balanced life by showing us how to build essential components into our daily living. Today, as missionaries we can minister and work together with a healthy interdependence. When I was broken you put the pieces together and got me back on my feet! Thank you for providing such a ministry of restoration!"
