Story

Cultura y Arte Nativa De Las Americas (CANA), a 501c3 nonprofit organization supports the annual San Francisco Cesar Chavez Holiday Breakfast, Festival and Parade.

The annual Cesar Chavez breakfast will take place on Cesar’s birthday to commemorate his legacy and to celebrate community leaders who continue his work in the Mission District. There will be local unions, community activists, local organizations, City Departments in attendance to commemorate and honor the life of Cesar Chavez.

The Cesar Chavez Day Parade & Festival has been a staple cultural celebration in the Mission District since 1994. The annual event has paid homage to the late Civil Rights leader thanks to the leadership of long standing community organizer, Eva Royale, and with the support of the United Farm Workers and Local Unions. In 2022, CANA will support in the production of the Cesar Chavez Day Parade & Festival on Saturday, April 9th on 24th Street between Folsom and Bryant Streets from 10am to 6pm.
