Honor Flight Southern Nevada is a distinct and separate Honor Flight Hub that is a part of the Honor Flight Network. Honor Flight Southern Nevada includes Mesquite, Pahrump and Laughlin and areas in Arizona and Utah where we are the closet HF Hub. We are a recognized 501c3 from the IRS since 2013.

We had our first flight on Oct 11 – 13, taking over 35 WWII veterans to see their memorials and as of the end 2024 have taken 648 WWII, Korean, and Vietnam veterans. These flights are a great success, making a lasting impression on the veterans, guardians, and family members that experienced the trip. We will have two trips a year, one in the spring and another in the Fall, based on the ability to raise the funds.

Each flight consists of a 3-day trip to Washington D.C. to see 6 memorials, a visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Cemetery and the Bill of Rights and Constitution at the National Archives. We include multiple components to honor the service of our veterans. This includes a police escort during the day, Saturday night banquet, wreath laying and a special Mail Call on the flight home. Each veteran is recognized throughout the weekend for their service and sacrifices to our nation. Within 6 weeks after the flight, we hold a Flight Reunion lunch where the veterans received a photo album of the flight and we work with Quilt of Valor for each veteran to receive their own special quilt.

This we provided for the veteran: A travel bag, polo, lanyard, raincoat, HFSN hat and various other items to recognize their service.

If needed: wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen concentrators and first aid supplies.

All veterans are paired with a Guardian, that covers their own fees, and we take 2 paramedics and 2 staff members on each flight.
