A HIGH SCHOOL WITH A HIGHER PURPOSE

In September 2021, Chesterton Academy of Rochester opened its doors to students; stronger and more committed than ever in honoring God’s plan for our high school within the Chesterton Schools Network. Our mission seeks to prepare students to triumph over the materialism and despair that pervade our culture and to accept the offer of Jesus Christ to have life and have it abundantly. Our classical curriculum in the Catholic tradition combines a broad, liberal arts education with a strong emphasis on the development of Christian virtues and an appreciation of beauty.

Based on the Three Pillars Model, Chesterton Academy students are formed in:

Intellect

Our curriculum and instruction emphasize the classics of Western thought from physics to philosophy, and the interrelationship of the great ideas, teaching students not merely what to think but how to think.

Character

Our dedicated faculty cultivates character development and leadership so that our students grow in the four cardinal virtues of prudence, temperance, fortitude, and justice, which we believe are the foundation of strong leadership.

Spirituality

Our commitment to spiritual truth forms the core of all we do. Our students come to understand and embrace the truth of why they exist: to know God, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world and be happy with Him forever in the next.

The future looks bright for Chesterton Academy of Rochester. We stand ready to fulfill God’s plan by offering our high school with a higher purpose to more families and students. We are thrilled to have Mr. David Klosterman ready to join us in July 2022 as our first Headmaster. We are confident that his experience and dedication to classical education and the truths of the Catholic faith will solidify our program and provide strong leadership for both our students and faculty. In order to continue to grow and spread the truth, we will also need the prayerful support and generous financial contributions of people who love and believe in our mission to raise a new generation of joyful leaders and saints.
