Christmas Food Baskets

Christmas Food Baskets for Haiti

As we look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus—the ultimate gift of God’s love—we also have a special opportunity to share that love with our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

Each Christmas, we with communities in Ranquitte and Bas Pinal to provide food baskets for widows and for families of the students in our scholarship program. These gifts meet real and urgent needs, and they are received with tremendous gratitude.

In Bas Pinal, we prepare 25–30 food baskets each year for families connected to our scholarship program. When the baskets are distributed, the celebration includes a short message about the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus coming to this world to show us God’s love—along with a brief health talk to encourage and support the families we serve.

In Ranquitte, Remina hosts a special Christmas gathering at her health clinic, where she provides 75–90 widows with a food basket. For many of these widows, this is the only Christmas gift they will receive, and it means far more than food—it is a reminder that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.
