A Christmas Miracle! 13 Doodles Saved From Neglect Need Your Help!

Dear Doodle Fam, we’re reaching out to you this holiday season with an urgent plea to help 13 precious doodles who were surrendered to us today. We were called out to a heartbreaking situation in the high desert of Anza, CA to rescue 13 doodles who've been living and sleeping outside in the extreme cold. Their caretaker became overwhelmed by the number of dogs in her care, and asked us to step in. The doodles were living in unkempt conditions, crowded with each other and desperately needed help! One of our rockstar foster parents, Lexie, drove out to Anza today determined to change the fate of these doodles we're calling the Christmas 13 (and all while pregnant! Shout to Lexie!) When we met them, we saw that these sweet souls were covered in dirt, had extremely matted and tangled fur, and were covered in their own feces. Our hearts couldn't bear it, and knowing temperatures are about to drop even lower...we just had to take them in!

IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OKAY FOR DOGS TO SLEEP OUTSIDE IN 30 DEGREE WEATHER! The temperature in Anza drops down to 30 degrees at night, and will only get colder through December.The doodles range between 12 weeks to 1 year old...and what's worse, two of them are pregnant. Pregnant dogs can be even more vulnerable to hypothermia, and our girls were being put at risk of a weakened immune system...her unborn puppies could also suffer consequences--from intrauterine stress to having a higher chance of being born stillborn. For the puppies who are 12 weeks old right now, these harsh conditions can be too much for their immune systems. We rushed them straight to the Sherman Oaks Vet and are in the middle of securing foster placements for all of them. A warm bed, nutritious food, and so much love...these pups are about to have their lives transformed--we can't wait to give them all of this with your help!

It’s heartbreaking to see these sweet dogs start their lives this way, we can give them the fresh start they deserve. We need to raise $25,000 to provide these 13 doodles with proper medical care, warm shelter, and the love they’ve never known.
