Your generous donations will help us preserve our legacy and empower the youth. THE REAL WINGS is a nonprofit organization making a significant difference in the lives of Baltimore youth. Our mentors work with girls aged 10 to 15, and The G Boys Club supports boys aged 8 to 16. These programs are designed to build confidence and teach important life skills in a fun and interactive way. The youth learn coping skills, maintain healthy relationships, and discover their inner strengths to become the best version of themselves. We believe in self-love, self-control, and self-confidence to Shine Like a Star!

Janice Bryant-Baker founded The Real Wings, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit, in 2013. Earlier in her career, she had been a school teacher, served as a review controller and case manager for Maryland's Department of Social Services, coached softball for 20 years, and became a youth trainer and mentor to found The Real Wings and make a difference for Baltimore youth.

The organization is guided by board members Cherie Jones, Cynthia McNeil, Nadie Payne, Treica Warnholz, Gary Baker, and Jade' Baker, who provide innovative ideas and leadership. Volunteers Cynthia Collins, Aysha Collins, Letisha Demery, and Courtney Green host events and assist with the mentorship for the girls, and Gary Baker, George Lee, and Tracey West do the same with the boys.

The Real Wings plans to expand to serve more girls and boys, aiming to transform girls into young ladies and boys into young men through etiquette and life skills training. To do this, the organization would like to hire young adults who have graduated from the program to work with younger people in a way that supports their livelihoods. Youth in the programs will experience workshops discussing topics such as banking, financial security, health, public speaking, and conflict resolution led by experts. We will experience more field trips to visit places of interest outside of their neighborhoods.

As we continue to empower Baltimore youth, we aspire to help them to know that they can accomplish anything in the community they are a part of in Baltimore or the world.
